A painting by Jackson Pollock.. Abstract Expressionism and the NY School of the 1950's. I'll post the rest of the painting's info later.
For now, just look at it...
What ideas do you get from this picture?
What feelings are evoked?
Allow yourself to have the experience of just looking at the picture.

The picture takes me back to an ice storm, in which the trees and the very twigs were turned into magical crystals that were breathtaking when the sun shone on them. Walking the kids to school, we were transfixed all the way there. Thanks for the memory.
My pleasure!

I see the tops of trees in the fall just after the leaves fall off and before the snow comes...
this picture takes me to one of my students at compass house( a homeless shelter for teenagers) the young woman didn't want to paint so i suggested that she paint her feelings she wanted to go outside and splatter paint but the worker from compass house said that she couldn't well!!! i took outside and she did a remarkable painting with pieces of leaves!

That's cool that the kids have the outlet.. rules have a way of forcing creativity: how might I express myself when there is someone telling me I can't?
