What to post

The problem isn't that I don't know what to say. In fact there are lots of people who think that the last thing I need is yet another forum. Seems I acquired the title of Loose Cannon at some point. But maybe I'm just oversensitve and spend too much time around nervous types.

No. The problem has been in deciding just what this blog is going to be for. Politics seem to be pretty well covered (see here) It's my brother's blog and a good example of the kind of ranting I am genetically capable of, but usually don't. But it's also a good blog and worth visiting. As is pop music (here) this one is my sister-in-law's.. Sometimes she puts up pictures of the kids too so check it out. I don't have children or significant other, so that's a whole realm of blogging that I'm not doing by default. As far as creative writing is concerned, I technically DO have an outlet.. but it's specific to something and so maybe that's what this blog will end up being: an additional creative outlet.

One idea was to let my friends and colleagues post here, then we could discuss and critique. So maybe I'll do that. So why does a blog need a theme? Maybe it doesn't. Maybe I'm just so used to writing with a theme or goal, that I assume I will always need one. Leaving the purpose of the blog open may just be what happens. Something unpredictable. That's pretty cool.. one of the things people are always telling me is that I need to be more spontaneous, so maybe this blog can be my bit of spontaneity.

Ok.. this is officially a blog without a purpose. It can be whatever I want it to be.
